Al-Rayhani's journey to Andalusia was not like his other journeys, as Andalusia added to his story its beauty, splendor and charm. The light that Andalusia added to the author's imagination, and which he added in turn to the pages of his book, is transmitted to the reader, so that you imagine that you are reading one of the masterpieces of the early Andalusian poets. Al-Rayhani did not move between a city or a beach without stopping at the arts, beauty and civilization left by the conquerors. Al-Rayhani traveled between Cordoba, Seville and Toledo, carrying the lofty goal of his journeys; which is to spread the spirit of love, solidarity and integration among Arab brothers, so that it may rise and become a handshake of love and loyalty. Because this book took on a different and distinctive form, Al-Rayhani received the “Moroccan Medal of Knowledge” from the people of Marrakesh, as a tribute to him and in recognition of his skill in capturing and weaving the rays of Andalusian light.
