In this book, Gustave Le Bon classifies groups according to their psychological, social, ideological, and religious conditions, explaining the role played by ethics and feelings in formulating the beliefs that guide the movement of history. The author follows a path based on scientific rules without paying attention to biased opinions and doctrines. He discusses the general characteristics of groups, the law of their intellectual and psychological unity, and the extent to which customs and traditions influence their orientations; because traditions are essentially based on the idea of mobilization; that is, unifying all intellectual currents and kinetic forces that make up the group in one direction. The author also explains the extent to which groups are affected by symbols and signs that contribute to the orientation of these groups towards a specific idea.
