Whenever Freemasonry is mentioned in any conversation, a flood of major conspiracies and secret plans hatched by mysterious men who live in dark basements and aim to control the country and its people comes to mind. At other times, talking about it provokes mockery and sarcasm as one of the imaginary “conspiracy theories” that only exist in the minds of its owners. However, in reality, it did not gain its bad reputation until its activities were surrounded by a thick veil of mystery and secrecy, in addition to its use of many strange symbols and practices, not to mention the complex tests that its members must pass, in a way that makes it difficult to believe that the most important goal of its lodges is to spread world peace and the spirit of brotherhood among people. In any case, we will leave our convictions about Freemasonry aside (even if only for a little while) to read in this book, from the tongue of one of its enthusiasts, some of its history and traditions.
